from Project MUSE:
On Monday, August 26, 2019, Project MUSE will move to supporting connections only via secure HTTPS. Users should see no changes in functionality or the user experience.
While MUSE will maintain a permanent redirect from HTTP to HTTPS, we recommend updating all links or shortcuts to reflect the HTTPS protocol.
Institutional subscribers using a proxy solution may need to adjust their configurations to ensure continued access to the platform. For institutions utilzing EZProxy, we recommend the following stanza:
Title Project Muse
In order to provide access to resources that use HTTPS, your EZproxy server must be configured with an SSL certificate.
In preparation for this transition, libraries may also wish to confirm that Project MUSE has their correct and complete IP information on file. You may review your current IP details, and submit any changes or additions, via the IP Information Tool in the MUSE library administrative dashboard. Sharing specifics about your proxy server via this tool may help us provide you with better service. Please do not send any IP information via email; IP review and updates should be completed via the library dashboard. If you do not already have a dashboard account please create a new account here.
There is no anticipated downtime with this transition. If you have any questions or experience issues following the transition on August 26, please contact MUSE Customer Support.
