In partnership with Metronet, Minitex is participating in an ELM Expo on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Coon Rapids High School. This event will focus on eLibraryMN, and the suite of databases available, at no cost, to all Minnesota residents. Join us to discover all about Learning Express Library, Britannica, eBooksMN, and so much more! You will learn from the experts on how to search, save, and share your results and take home tips on how to teach the databases to students and patrons. Please bring your own device to personalize your learning.
ALL ARE WELCOME! Novice or master, there will be something for you. Public, school, academic and special librarians. Teachers (K-12) and anyone who uses or wants to use ELM in the classroom or library. School librarians (K-12) are encouraged to attend with a team that includes History Day teachers, Guidance Counselors, and any teachers that offer a research component.
This event is FREE to all who wish to attend. Our deep appreciation goes to the Anoka Hennepin school district, Coon Rapids High School, and CRHS Media Specialist Debra Geiger for making this event happen and allowing us to use the space without cost.
This event is located at Coon Rapids High School, 2340 Northdale Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Click here for a map. Parking is free, in the lot in front of the school (on Northdale Blvd) or to the east of the building in the lot off Raven St. Enter through the main entrance (facing Northdale Blvd) and follow signs to the media center on the 2nd floor.
In order to keep the event free, we will not be providing a box lunch. We will order a pizza/bottled water lunch. You may elect to participate or not, for a cost of $5, payable on the day of event, cash only. Alternatively, nearby options include: Burger King, Chipotle, McDonalds, or Taco Bell. Of course, you are always welcome to bring your own lunch.
